Documenting paintings is part of the job of being an artist. The problem is knowing when the painting is really finished and ready to be photographed, especially since my process is a contemplative one. Sometimes I look at a painting for a year before I know what to do next.
In this picture I am photographing the Sky Path, a 45 foot long painting in 14 panels. You can see the whole painting at Great Impasta restaurant.
